Lagoa do Fogo (Lake of Fire) was given the statute of Nature Reservation in 1974 and is a mandatory stop for all nature lovers.
On the top of the mountain of the volcanic complex of Serra de Água de Pau is a lake of great dimensions, surrounded by endemic vegetation and with limpid waters and white sand beaches, in an environment of great beauty. The access by north or by south permits extraordinary views of the island, the ideal places for photos and filming.
