Residencial Sete Cidades

The place where the first inhabitants of the island settled, this town is located at the foot of Pico da Vara, surrounded by seven hills.

Povoação has a marina, a small Zoo and a nice pretty public garden with an interesting bandstand.

The town offers a good example of Azorean urban styles of the 19th and 20th centuries.
